Kelis Racked in $1 Million Last Year, But Still Wants More Child Support from Nas
Rumor has it, Kelis racked in almost $1 million last year, according to Page Six, the singer is still requesting more child support from her ex-hubby, Nas.
Kelis has been in and out of court handling her ongoing custody and child support battle. The latest documents filed show Kelis brought in $922,840 from her entertainment and touring company, MyKnight, Inc., and her food product business, Feast Enterprises, collectively. And, according to The Blast, the singer’s income declaration states she has $691,153.22 in the bank and $1,374,000 worth of property.
Although Kelis has plenty of money in the bank, she’s asking the court to increase Nas’ monthly child support bill by $8,000.
If anyone is asking why she’s requesting more cash, it’s because she wants to make sure she’s able to cover monthly expenses for herself and her son. Her expenses include $5,726 for the mortgage, $4,500 on child care, $1,913 on groceries, $1,233 on eating out, $1,500 on laundry/cleaning, $1,728 on clothes, and $492 on entertainment. She lists additional expenses as $1,300 on private tutoring, $400 on a math tutor, $150 on Ju-Jitsu and $500 for art.
However, Nas’ monthly expenses total $76,000 plus an additional $20,000 spent on support for family members.
We don’t know how court battle will play out, but only time will tell.
