Chris Brown arrested after Florida concert
Chris Brown was arrested in West Palm Beach, Fla., on Thursday night after performing at the Coral Sky Amphitheatre. Police were waiting for him at the conclusion of the show on an outstanding felony battery warrant from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Booking Blotter, Brown, 29, was booked at 11 p.m and released just 52 minutes later after posting bond, which was set at $2,000.
While authorities haven’t yet said what the outstanding warrant was for, TMZreports that the it was issued in connection with an assault case. He allegedly attacked a photographer during a club appearance in Tampa last year. A rep for the singer has not yet responded to Yahoo Entertainment request for comment.
After Brown’s release, he made seemed to make light of the situation on social media. He shared a photo, presumably from last night’s show, captioning it, ” What’s NEW” along with an emoji rolling its eyes. He also promised fans he’ll be back at it tonight in Tampa. His Heartbreak on a Full Moon Tour next goes to Alabama, North Carolina, his native Virginia, and then the Northeast.
