Demi Lovato hospitalized for apparent heroin overdose
Demi Lovato was taken to a hospital in Los Angeles after suffering what appears to be a heroin overdose according to TMZ which cited law enforcement.
TMZ reports their sources say the singer/actress was transported from a home in the Hollywood Hills just before noon on Tuesday and is being treated at the moment. There is no word on her condition.
Demi had been struggling with substance abuse, having lived in a sober living home at one point. TMZ reports she had been sober from cocaine for 6 years.
The singer recently released “Sober,” with lyrics many believing reveal she had fallen off the wagon. Part of the song goes: “Momma, I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore. And daddy, please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor. To the ones who never left me, we’ve been down this road before. I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore.”
